How I stayed busy during lockdown

When I realised lockdown wasn't going to be just a few weeks, I decided it would be fun to take up a hobby to keep busy. I saw all over Tiktok people sewing, baking, home DIY the lot and it really inspired me to try something new. I firstly ordered a jewellery making kit and started making earrings with old pieces of jewellery from my mums old box. I thought this would be a really sustainable way of making jewellery as its from reused materials. I also made earrings and rings from shells and bits of sea glass I found on the beach.

These were all rings I'd made from polymer clay.

Soon my friends started wanting jewellery made for them and I thought I'd try out clay jewellery too. I ended up selling items on my Depop page and it was really the only thing keeping me sane through lockdown!

These were some earrings I'd made from some old marbles and some wire.

I didn't think it would be so easy to make things but once I started getting creative it became really easy! I hope this encourages others to take up a hobby that keeps them occupied and happy!
