The iconic Steven Meisel

One of my favourite iconic photographers has to be Steven Meisel simply for his style and the way he’s dominated the fashion industry. He’s become one of Anna Wintour’s favourites and is the man behind all of Italian Vogue covers and Prada campaigns.

What I love about his photography is how striking his photos are with the use of colour palettes, editing and strong angles/ poses. I love how unique his photos are as he says his favourites are “ones that are the most controversial. But it’s not because they are controversial that I like them, but because they say a little more than just a beautiful woman in a beautiful dress.”

I use Meisel’s style in a lot of my photography as I like the mystery he presents and how it intrigues the viewer. He is a huge inspiration of mine and that’s why he’ll always stay and iconic photographer.
